Families with young children will enjoy Legoland California, with its more than 50 rides, shows and attractions to enjoy. Take an interactive journey through 100 years of popular music at the Museum of Making Music or explore the California Surf Museum in nearby Oceanside. Within easy driving distance, you’ll find the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park and Sea World.

Carlsbad’s two state beaches offer picnic areas, campsites and uncrowded beaches for swimming, surfing, sunbathing, windsurfing, fishing and kayaking. Our three picturesque lagoons are ideal for nature walks and bird watching. You’ll find interpretive trails, an Audubon Society nature center, and tranquil and unspoiled ecosystems providing safe haven for a wide variety of wildlife.
